Ash and Ali Curtis have been married for 24 years and have 4 children Kyler(20), Kaleb(17), Kamryn(15) and Kollyns(12). Ash is a Florida native while Ali spent most of her life in Georgia., they now split their time between Mississippi and Alabama. With the support of Ali, Ash has dedicated much of his life to the ministry of funeral service. After years as an executive with large death care providers Ash felt like he could better serve families by starting his own funeral services company in 2021. As the owner operator of Picayune Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Cemetery the Curtis family is dedicated to providing Pearl River county and beyond with quality affordable funeral services.

Summer Foster
General Manager / Funeral Director
Born and raised in Picayune, Mississippi within Hancock and Pearl River County. I enjoy spending time outdoors and most importantly having quality time with my family. My girls and husband are my world. I served my apprenticeship and received my Funeral Directors License with Picayune Funeral Home. I can honesty say I love my job and my work family. I take great pride in serving our families here at Picayune Funeral Home. I consider this my Ministry. At the end of the day, its my hope that my compassion and guidance will make a positive difference in someones life.
Ronald Spencer
Funeral Director / Embalmer
Ron Spencer is originally from Oklahoma where he attended the University of Central Oklahoma at Edmond. Graduating from the Funeral Science department and thus started his 30 plus year career as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is married to Sharon Spencer, and together they have 5 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Church of Latter-Day Saints where he volunteers his time serving and helping others. In his spare time, Ron enjoys the outdoors and traveling, including camping and spending time with family.
James C. Reeves
Funeral Director / Crematory Operator
I was born and raised in the Picayune area from my birth in 1962. I have been married for 40 years and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
I am a retired US Army Veteran of 27 years, a Baptist Minister since 1998. I spend most of my time working outdoors as I take care of Memorial Gardens Cemetery and run the Crematory for the past several years.
I came to work at the Funeral Home and received my Funeral Director License and also became a Licensed Insurance Agent to help with Pre-needs for our families. I love helping people during what is considered the worst time of their lives. It has become a part of my ministry through the years.
I love working with and for a compassionate group of team members, and look forward to assisting you and helping you through this most trying time.
Chelsea Self
Funeral Director / Embalmer
A southern Louisiana native, mother, funeral director & embalmer. I enjoy film, nature, costuming, camping, national parks, and am not afraid to eat new things. My passion is helping families celebrate the lives of their loved ones who have passed on, and to find closure through personalized services tailored to their individual needs.
Jamie Ladner
Apprentice / Administrative Assistant
I was born and raised in Picayune as a minister’s daughter so compassion and empathy is something that I would say are ingrained in me. I have been married to my husband Micheal since 2005 and have two daughters. I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with family. I look forward to working with families to walk beside them during a difficult time to pay tribute to those they loved.
Michael Reeves
Funeral Assistant
Michael Reeves is a native of Picayune. He is happily married with a beautiful family. He enjoys community outreach with devoting his time to Volunteer Firefighting and helping with the food pantry at his church. Mike is a caring assistant that is dedicated in helping families through their difficult times.
