Alex George Bennett, born on June 11, 1950, in the Leetown Community of Hancock County, Mississippi, passed away on June 3, 2026, in Carriere, Mississippi. 

Alex is survived by his wife, Toni Bennett, and their children: daughter Pamela Butler and sons George Bennett and Alvin Bennett. He is also survived by his brother Leonard W. Bennett. His family includes grandchildren Justin Dawson, Olivia Bennett, Keagan Butler, Zachary Jadick, Jake Butler, Autumn Bennett, and Henry Bennett, as well as three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Winifred Kennedy; father, George Percy Bennett; and brother, Gaines Elbert Bennett.

A graveside service will be held on June 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Breland Cemetery located at 32085 Preacher Powell Rd., Carriere, Mississippi 39426.
