Alexander Joseph Carpenter III, 61, went into eternal rest on October 14, 2026. He was born on May 4, 1965 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents Alexander Joseph Carpenter Jr. and Helen Rodriguez Carpenter.

Alex was a loving husband to the love of his life Barbara “Camille” Carpenter for 38 years and together they had a beautiful family. He was a proud father and grandfather and enjoyed spending his time doting on his granddaughter Ophelia. When he wasn’t spending time with his family, Alex enjoyed riding motorcycles and being immersed in nature.

Alex is survived by his loving wife Barbara “Camille” Carpenter, his son Alexander Joseph Carpenter IV (Roxanne), daughter Melissa Waltrip (Jimmy), brothers Scott Carpenter, Matthew Carpenter (Angelle), sisters Jan Mitchell (Guy), Terry Giraud (Charlie), beloved granddaughter Ophelia Waltrip, and his 2 dogs June and Louie.

He is preceded in passing by his parents Alexander Carpenter Jr., and Helen Rodriguez Carpenter.

A Catholic Memorial Service will be held at Picayune Funeral Home Monday October 26, 2026. 10:00 a.m. Visitation with Service to start at 11:00 a.m.
