Alexander Sharp III

March 28, 1957 — July 22, 2025

Picayune, Mississippi

Alexander Sharp III, born on March 28, 1957, in Covington, Louisiana, passed away on July 22, 2025, in Picayune, Mississippi. He was raised in New Orleans and later lived in Nashville, Tennessee, before spending his final years in Carriere.

Alex had a lifelong appreciation for nature—especially the Rocky Mountains, which held a special place in his heart. He was a passionate collector, drawn to guns, coins, and vinyl records, and had a deep love for music. He took pride in working on cars and remodeling homes, and found quiet joy in gardening and cooking—always content when working with his hands and creating something meaningful.

He is survived by his mother, Rosie Cook Sharp; his sister, Brenda Siebenkittel; and his five children: Alexander Sharp IV, from a previous marriage, and Jason, Brandon, Stephen, and Britney Sharp, whose mother, Sharon, shared 17 years with Alex. He also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, including his newest grandson, Asher Alexander — a baby lovingly named in his honor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Sharp Jr., whom he cherished deeply. Alex will be remembered for the passions and skills he shared with his children, the strength and character he instilled in those around him, and the sharp mind and quick wit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A private remembrance will be held at a later date.
