April Lagunda Parker, a cherished mother, grandmother, and lifelong resident of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away on May 17, 2026. Born on April 7, 1977, in Picayune, April’s life was deeply rooted in the community she called home.

April was a loving mother to her two daughters, Megan Danielle Prestridge (Morayma Vega) and Anna Renee Lee (Robert Lee), and a proud grandmother to Astra Lee and Aeris Lee. Her love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life, as she nurtured and supported those closest to her with unwavering devotion.

Beyond her family, April found joy and creativity in refurbishing furniture, reading, and painting. These hobbies reflected her artistic spirit and her keen eye for beauty in everyday things, making her surroundings a testament to her loving touch and creative talents.

April’s family extended to her mother, Nancy Speights, her father, ND Parker, her brother, Elvis "Arron" Parker, and her sister, Wanda Bennett, all of whom survive her and carry forward her memory. She is also remembered with love and sorrow by the family for her sister, Amanda Michelle Lee, who preceded her in death.

In honoring the life of April Lagunda Parker, we remember a woman who lived with kindness and passion, whose legacy will continue in the hearts of her loved ones. 

Services will be held Friday May 29, 2026, at Picayune Funeral Home with Visitation 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Funeral Services to begin at 3:00 p.m.
