Barbara "Babbie" Gail Holmes was born on February 8, 1954, in Picayune, Mississippi. She passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, in her hometown of Picayune, Mississippi.

Babbie was full of love and touched many lives. She especially enjoyed her family, taking great joy in her grandchildren. She loved spending time tending to her flowers, caring for her yard, and cross stitching.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Holmes Sr., and her mother, Mary Dunn. Babbie's children include sons Michael Holmes Jr. (Jen),  Chris Holmes (Chris), and daughters Toni Kirk (Larry), and Anita Holmes. She was a proud grandmother to Clay Palmer, Mattie Palmer, Brooklynn Kirk, Mackenzie Carr, Mikey Holmes, and Ally Faye Holmes. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Amelia, Melody, Ellis, and soon-to-arrive Baby Brixton.

Babbie's father, Seymon F. Stogner, her stepfather, Richard Dunn, brother Billy Stogner, and sister Katie Adison have passed on.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Picayune Funeral Home, located at 815 S. Haugh Ave., Picayune, Mississippi 39466.

Barbara "Babbie" Gail Holmes will be remembered for her loving heart and the warmth she brought to those around her. She will be dearly missed.
