Barbara A. McKean was born September 13, 1959 in New Orleans, LA.  She departed this life peacefully on July 11, 2026 in Nicholson, MS at the age of 66. She was a loving mother, grandmother and Gammy. She was a retired housekeeper and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. They were the joy of her life.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Evelyn Lee, sisters Margie Mitchell and Linda Stockstill, brothers Ronald B. Lee, Sr., and Bruce W. Lee, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jean Daigle (Alan), Cheryl Mitchell (Glen), sons Gary Lee (Heidi), Ronald Lee, Jr. (Samantha) and Edward Avallone, grandchildren Shawn, Aubree, Summer, Glen Jr., Stephanie, Courtney, Allison, Paiton, JoyceLyn, Gary Jr., Chyanne and Anthony, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all.

 A graveside service for Barbara will be held on Friday July 17, 2026 for 2PM at New Palestine Cemetery located at 2336 Palestine Road Picayune, MS 39466 and officiated by Bro. Ray Spence.
