Barbara Ann Morgan, was born on November 13, 1952, in Falfurrias, Texas and passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026 at the age of 73, in Diamondhead, MS surrounded by the unconditional love of her family and her wonderful caregivers.

Barbara is preceded in death and was welcomed into eternal life by her beloved husband, Harold Claiborne Morgan; her son, John Clayton Pierce; and her mother, Barbara Bertha Gregus.

She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Sherry Hyatt (Jay) and Ranee Le’Ann Morgan (Chris); and by her cherished grandchildren, Aria, Kyra, Kyle, Breanna, and Jaylen.

While she worked in a variety of careers, she found her greatest passion in the services of others. From medical clergy to a caregiver herself, she truly cherished and often reflected on every soul that crossed her path along her journey. A gifted storyteller with a quick wit and infectious sense of realism and humor, Barbara could captivate a room with her stories and leave people laughing long after the conversation ended. She had a rare ability to connect with others on a soul-deep level, offering comfort, wisdom, and a sense of “home”.

Barbara embodied unconditional love and forgiveness, creating a fulfilling life marked by faith, compassion, resilience, and purpose. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved—as though they, too, were her family. She believed deeply in God, synchronicity and divine timing. Her many acts of service, words of wisdom and guidance to others in difficult times will echo far beyond this lifetime

A Continuing Legacy

The love she so freely gave throughout her lifetime was returned to her many times over in her final days. We are forever grateful to all of her friends and her caregivers who made every second count.
