Brannon E. Woodward Jr. of Pearl River, LA made his way home to be with Jesus on Thursday July 10th, 2025. He was 77 years old.
Brannon was born in Angie, Louisiana. Although enduring quite challenging circumstances as a child, one characteristic was certain about Brannon and it was his unwavering faith. He spent his whole life building his faith and his relationship with the Lord, and he made sure to extend that into his three daughters at a young age and even into his grandchildren.
Brannon was raised in Pearl River, Louisiana by his grandparents, along with his older sister, Louise. Although growing up without both of their parents, Louise was always like a mother to him. He always knew his older sister would look after him and he always knew she would be there for him. He always knew he could count on Louise.
He made a living as a truck driver, hauling pulpwood. He enjoyed every moment of it. He was always a free spirit and was never one to be held down in one spot, but the one place you could be sure to catch him was the local Waffle House, sipping on his coffee.
Brannon was a loving, kind man with a contagious laugh. He had a smile that lit up a room. If you ever had the chance to meet him, you left as a friend with a smile on your face. His greatest joy in life was his three girls Trudy, Tina and Terry Lynn. He loved to tell everyone he knew about all of his "babies" and he always let his babies know how much they were loved. He enjoyed nothing more than visiting and getting to spend quality time with his grandson, Larry Jr.
Brannon is preceded in death by his grandparents Jasper and Delia Toney; parents Brannon Sr and Ruby Woodward; son-in-law Larry Sherman and great nephew Dennis Swedberg Jr.
Brannon is survived by daughters Trudy Sherman, Tina (Lyman) Sherman and Terry (Barry) Aucoin; Grandchildren Megan (Jeremy) Litke, Larry Sherman, Amanda (Ulysses) Chavez, Shane (Casie) Sherman, Travis (Johnna) Sherman and Jaime Sherman ; Great Grandchildren Jayden, Trevor, Morgan, Megan, Larry III and Vincent; sister Louise Davis; nieces Sandra Swedberg, Judy Payne and Debbie Singletary; along with numerous great nieces/nephews, family and dear friends.
