Bruce Porter Jones Jr., of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on July 24, 1959.

Bruce will be remembered as a hard worker, a very friendly man, and a loving dad. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the VFW, and he also loved fishing. Those who knew him will remember his easy way with people and the simple joys that meant so much to him.

Above all, Bruce treasured his family. He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Michell Jones Murr and her husband, Tommy, and Audrey Nicole Jones Hawkins and her husband, Aaron. He is also survived by his sister, Anissa Jones Davis and her husband, Brian; his brothers, Jeffery E. Jones and his wife, Melisa, James “Jimmy” R. Lee and his wife, Marlo, and Richard “Scott” Lee and his husband, David. Bruce also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Austin, Jeremy, Wyatt, Caroline, and Clayton, who brought great pride and joy to his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Lee; his father, Bruce Jones Sr.; his brother, Michael Lee and Kenneth Jones.

Bruce’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all who were fortunate to know him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
