Charlee Susan Marshall, 83, passed away on September 4, 2026, in Carriere, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on February 10, 1943, Charlee was a woman who found joy in creativity, family, and the simple pleasures that made life meaningful. She is Christian by faith. Charlee loved to write and worked for the Picayune Item. She enjoyed Jewelry making, cooking, playing Bingo, and spending time browsing thrift stores. Above all, Charlee adored her family, and she held a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Molly.

Her life was marked by the love she gave so freely to those around her. She will be remembered for the warmth of her presence and for the happiness she found in sharing time with the people she loved most.

Charlee is survived by her children, Michael T. Marshall, Matthew D. Marshall and his wife, Connie, Kathleen M. Lea, and Kimberley S. Pecou. She is also survived by her brother, Billy Ege, her sister, Linda Wharton; eight grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Each of them carries forward cherished memories of Charlee and the lasting bond of her love.

She was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Marshall; father, Charles Pickett; her mother, Ruthlee Lovelace; her son, Robert Neal Newby; and brother's Brad Ege, John Ege, and Bobby Ege.

Charlee Susan Marshall will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
