Charles Edward Davis, age 80 of Picayune passed away Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Louisiana Heart Hospital in Lacombe, LA.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Picayune Church of God with Rev. Michael Brown officiating, assisted by Bro. Jeff Davis.Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18, 2009
from 1:00 until time of service at the church.Burial will be at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
Charles was a carpenter, a member of Victory Temple Church of God and had lived in Picayune since 1943.
He is survived by his Wife of 59 years, Rosie Lee Burns Davis of Picayune ;one Daughter, Ester Dianne Stockstill of Picayune ;two Sisters, Hilda and Mary;three Grandchildren, Francis (Reese) Spiers, Jr ,Rodney Shane Spiers ,Theresa "Tesa" Dianne Wells ;five Great-Grandchildren, Aaron Spiers ,Ryan Spiers ,Michael Wells II ,Alyssa Mitchell ,Darianne Schierholz.
He was preceded in death by: his Parents, James Randolph Davis and Cora Lee Perrette Davis;one Brother, Adolph Wilson Davis and two Sisters, Gussi and Elizabeth.
