Cherie Sue Hampton

Cherie Sue Hampton, born on May 14, 1946, in Alameda, California, passed away on September 19, 2025, in Picayune, Mississippi. She lived a life full of love and cherished moments, leaving behind a legacy that will always be remembered.

Cherie is survived by her daughter, Cherie Hampton Pellegrino (John), and her sons, Jesse Lee Hampton (Elisa) and Michael James Hampton (Leah). She also leaves behind her sister Pamela Rollins and sister Penny Pittman, along with 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Cherie's family remembers her as a devoted mother and grandmother. She held a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.

Cherie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Hampton, her father, Charles Richardson, her mother, Yvonne Richardson, and her son, Joseph Hampton. She is also reunited in spirit with her brother, Charles "Bubby" Thurston Richardson, and her sisters, Jacqueline "Jackie" Kurucar and Charlene Patricia Seghers.

Cherie will be fondly remembered and missed by her loving family and friends.
