Damon Wayne Skipper, born on May 28, 1966, in Picayune, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, surrounded by love. His departure marks the loss of a devoted family man and a remarkably talented individual whose dedication and passion left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Damon was a very loyal employee at Keith Co Petroleum, where he dedicated many years of service. His commitment to his job and camaraderie with fellow employees were well known and deeply respected. A true numbers expert, Damon’s talent extended far beyond his professional role. He had a keen interest in financing and stocks, pursuing these with intellectual enthusiasm and expertise. This passion for numbers was an integral part of who he was, reflecting his sharp mind and meticulous nature.
Beyond his career, Damon had a profound love for the outdoors and gardening. He enjoyed yard work and was gifted with a wonderful green thumb, tending to flower gardens with care and devotion. These hobbies brought him great joy and a peaceful retreat.
Damon adored his wife, Elizabeth Skipper, who stood by him with unwavering support and love. His family was the center of his world. He is survived by Elizabeth; his sister, Melissa Thigpen; nieces and nephews Adam and Cara Staten, Zachary Staten, Amber and Jemol Gresham, and Liam and Silas Staten; stepchildren Noah Skipper and Bethany Skipper; mother-in-law, Annette Fleming; brother and sisters-in-law's Scott and Joy Fleming, and Marcie Beach; and grandchildren Amethyst and Oliver. Together, they carry forward his memory, cherishing the warmth and kindness he embodied.
Damon was preceded in death by his father, Troy Wayne Skipper; his mother, Wilda Faye Farr Skipper; and his sister, Cynthia Lynn Skipper. Their memories and influence remain a treasured part of his life story.
