Darlene Boak Boe was born on August 9, 1934 to Carl Boak and Ada Spurlock Boak. Her father was in the coast guard, allowing her to live in many places such as Oregon, Hawaii, and Guam. She met her husband William C. Boe Jr. upon settling in New Orleans, Louisiana. They had one son, Darrell C. Boe. She preceded them both in death. 

She had three grandchildren Chantell Boe, Darrell Boe Jr., and Amanda Boe Mitchell. She had 10 great grandchildren: Jordan, Anthony, Dominic, Isabella, Dylan, Preston, Maximus, Atticus, Juliette, and Sawyer. To complete the circle of love and family she had 2 great great granddaughters Katara and Kalayah!

Darlene was always a hard worker and loved garden work, spreading joy with her great grandchildren! She spent a lot of her time amongst the flowers and the water as she loved to fish with her husband William. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was always present in every way! Darlene truly understood what it meant to be the matriarch of the family, as she supported and cared for over three generations. She passed quietly in the home that she made so many memories in, surrounded by her grandchildren and loved ones at 4:23PM on June 13th, 2026.
