Darlene Neal

Darlene Neal, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. She was born on December 18, 1936, in Sunset, Texas.

Darlene was known for her kind spirit and enjoyed sewing, spending her time crafting beautiful pieces that brought joy to those around her. She had a special talent for sending cards for every occasion, ensuring that her loved ones felt appreciated and remembered.

Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a proud member of Victory Baptist Church in Franklinton, Louisiana, where she found a strong sense of belonging and community under the pastoral guidance of Bro. Gary King.

Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hubert Neal, as well as her father, Curtis Staats; her mother, Claudia Hanks; her son, Randal Crisp; and her brother, Durward Staats.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Debra Guthrie and her husband Robert, along with her nephews DE and Ronnie Staats. Darlene is also survived by her step-grandchild, Rebecca Daniels, grandchildren Russell Guthrie, Rudy Guthrie, Rhonda Little and her husband Rance, Candy Crisp, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.

Darlene Neal will be remembered for her loving nature, her dedication to her family, and her unwavering faith. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Victory Baptist Church at a date to be announced.
