David Eugene Bugos, born on December 13, 1943, in Bristol Twp Ohio, passed away on December 13, 2025, in Picayune, Mississippi. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by his wife, A. Barbara Bugos, his children Robyn Bugos Flynn, Jeffery Bugos, and Eric Bugos, and by his eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren, with one more on the way. He is also survived by his nieces, Tami Valentine and Tara Heath.
Dave graduated from Old Washington High School in Ohio and served with honor in the US Navy for 30 years, achieving the rank of Senior Chief. He was not only dedicated to his country but also to his family and friends, enjoying visits and phone conversations with them.
A member of New Henleyfield Southern Baptist Church, Dave had a passion for shortwave radio and spent his leisure time fishing and gardening. Although declining health in recent years limited his ability to spend time on his tractor, his love for the outdoors remained strong. Raised on a farm, he was a "jack of all trades" and could fix just about anything. Known for his great sense of humor, he never knew a stranger and brought joy to all who met him.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Edward Bugos, his mother, Grace Petrie Bugos, and his sister, Karen Bugos Newberry.
A memorial will be held at a later date to celebrate his life and the memories he left behind. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association.
