Deborah "Debi" Jane Ball

Deborah Jane Ball, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, peacefully passed away on July 24, 2025, in Carriere, Mississippi. She was born on April 16, 1959, in Picayune, MS, to the late Hugh Quitman Holland Jr. and Beatrice Pearson Fore.

Debi was known for her strong spirit and unwavering resolve, always the one to step up and take action. She enjoyed a fulfilling career in the education sector, having recently retired from the Pearl River County School District, where she touched the lives of many.

In her personal life, Debi was a devoted mother to her daughter, Grace Kelly, and cherished her roles as a grandmother and great-grandmother. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

When she wasn't caring for her family, Debi could often be found indulging in her passions for reading and fishing, activities that brought her peace and happiness.

She is survived by her daughter, Grace Kelly; sisters, Doti Prince, Sherry Frierson, and Dawn Holland; brothers, Larry Fore and Hugh Holland III; grandchildren, Mia Rouse and Sydney Kelly; and great grandchildren, Astrid Rouse and Jasper Rouse.

Debi's kindness and great decision-making abilities left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on August 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, both at Picayune Funeral Home located at 815 South Haugh Avenue, Picayune, MS 39466. The service will conclude at 12:00 PM. Burial at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Carriere, Mississippi.
