Debra Jean Maddox, born on February 21, 1954, in Louisiana, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026. She was a cherished member of her family and remembered fondly for her warmth and kindness.

Debra had a true passion for cooking and was especially loved for her skill in preparing seafood dishes that many considered the best. Her kitchen was a place where family and friends gathered to share not only meals, but meaningful moments filled with laughter and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hermon and Gail Maddox, her husband, and six siblings. Debra is survived by one sibling and a loving extended family who will dearly miss her presence.

Her nieces and nephews carry forward her legacy: Melissa Mitrik and her husband Ryan, with their children Aidan and Ashton; Michael W. Maddox and his wife Kate, and their daughter Margeaux; Seth Maddox; Katrina Martin with her husband Samson and their children Damian and Destiny Bennett and Samson Martin Jr.; Dawn Maddox and her child Brody Maddox; and Matthew Maddox. She was also blessed with a dear friend, Lillian Berdux, who held a special place in her life.

Debra Jean Maddox’s life was filled with love and dedication to those around her. Though she is no longer with us, her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family bonds and treasured times shared over many memorable meals.
