Debra Ann Panks Singletary of Carriere, Mississippi entered into eternal rest on August 8, 2026 after a long battle with dementia. Debbie was born in Louisiana on September 7, 1952 to the late Albert John Panks and Virginia Jones. Debbie lived the first 26 years of her life living in Louisiana before moving to Cocoa Beach, Florida in 1978. While living in Florida Debbie worked for Kennedy Space Center from which she retired. Debbie had some really good friends while she lived there but decided to move to Mississippi in November of 2022 so she could be closer to her remaining family where we were blessed to be able to spend the last 4 1/2 years of her life with her. Debbie never had children but she loved animals, especially her babies: Milo, Lilly, and Hobie. They were her children and she could not have loved them more. Debbie was loved by many and she will be missed by many. 

Debbie was preceded in death by her father Albert John Panks; mother Virginia Mae Jones and stepfather Henry Owen Jones of Carriere, Mississippi; brother Clayton Panks; sister Darlene Mayo and the love of her life John Reinholdt. She is survived and will always be remembered by her brothers, August Panks (Cindy) of Carriere, Mississippi and Albert John Panks Jr. of Pearl River, LA as well as many nieces, and nephews. 

The family would like to give their sincerest gratitude and say thank you to the Serenity Pearl Living Center and the entire staff. Also Debra's hospice caregiver, Robin Correll; for all the love and care that they provided for Debbie as she was going through this difficult journey in her life. 

Debbie will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date in the family cemetery known as "Heavens Way" in Carriere, Mississippi (as per her wishes).
