Donna Lil Bell

August 3, 1959 — September 14, 2025

Picayune, Mississippi

Donna Lil Bell, born on August 3, 1959, in Union, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, in Picayune, Mississippi. Donna will be remembered for a heart as big as the world around her. She had a gift for connecting with both people and animals, and her compassion knew no limits. Animals were especially dear to Donna, and she found joy in every wagging tail, gentle purr, and feathered song.

Friends and family describe Donna as a true people person—someone who could light up a room with laughter, listen with empathy, and bring comfort simply by being present. She will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and animals.

Donna is survived by her loving spouse, William Gene Bell of Picayune, MS; her mother, Patricia McCraw Teasley of Jackson, MS; and her children: daughter Vicki Meyer of Pass Christian, MS, daughters-in-law Truli Bell of Pensacola, FL, and Nicole Broach of Jackson, MS, along with sons Hugh Russell (Rusty) Broach of Terry, MS, and Brian Bell of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by her sisters Vicki McCraw Stuart and Karen Kaye McCraw Strickland, both of Jackson, MS, and her brothers Thomas McCraw Jr. of Jackson, MS, and Clearman Price McCraw of Terry, MS.

Additionally, Donna took great pride in her grandchildren, Michael Aaron Cunningham, Christopher Cunningham, Aspen Meyer, Skylar Bell, Hailea Bell, Jocelyn Grimes, and Sebastian Grimes, as well as her five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Thomas McCraw, and her dad, Otis Teasley.

A celebration of life in honor of Donna is to be determined.
