Douglas Strain, age 78, of Carriere, MS passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Pearson Cemetery, with Bro. McCoy officiating. Visitation will be at Picayune Funeral Home on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Douglas, a former resident of Texas, worked as a maintenance supervisor for Brown & Root and was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Gladys Eathel Lee Strain of Carriere; three sons, Douglas Michael Strain of Carriere, James Ronald Strain of Carriere and Mark Anthony Strain of Austin, TX; daughter, Patricia Marlene Jennings of LA; two brothers, Clarence Strain of Carriere and Grady Strain of Carriere; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Dora Frierson Strain and granddaughter, Brittany Strain.
