Edwin Michael Carlsen, 74, passed away on August 12, 2026. Edwin was born on June 17, 1952 in Somers Point, New Jersey to parents Edwin Carlsen and Doris Amadora. Edwin had a career as a Naval Architect which lead to a lifelong affinity to building boats. He was also a gun and motorcycle enthusiast. He was known to sit on his porch, smoke his pipe, and be one with nature. He was the patriarch of his family and was a loving father, grandfather, and partner.

He is preceded in death by his father Edwin Carlsen, mother Doris Amadora, stepfather Tony Amadora, uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Berry, nephew Albert Q, and Leslie Carlsen who is the mother of his children.

Edwin's memory will be cherished by his partner JoAnn Speck; daughter Jennie Lynn Minzer; son Shawn A. Carlsen; son in law Robert Guerrero; sisters Debbie Mays, Christina S; grandchildren Timothy H, Robert B, Brianna B, Jonathan M, Nino B, Jasmine C.; nieces, Jennifer, Crystal, Tiffany; nephews Christian Q., Aaron M.; and many more great nieces and nephews.
