Evelyn Louise Smith was born on May 3, 1938, and passed away on her 88th birthday, May 3, 2026. She lived a quiet life and enjoyed gardening.

Evelyn is survived by her children Thomas Allen Smith (Debra Watson-Smith), Timothy Wayne Smith, and  Diane Leath. She also leaves behind her brothers Thurman Lee, Gator Lee, James Lee, Jeff Lee, Charles Lee, Ostez Lee, and Norman Lee, as well as her sister Ruby Wise. Her grandchildren Christopher Smith, Jillian Smith, Wesley Mitchell, and Justin Mitchell remember her fondly.

She was preceded in death by her father Curtis Lee, mother Ina Smith Lee, daughter Terry Mitchell, brother Dale Lee, and sisters Clara Lee Lee and Brenda Lee.

A graveside service will be held on May 8, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Catahoula Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 22140 MS-43, Picayune, MS 39466, United States.
