Frances “Karleen” Lee, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt went to her heavenly home May 6, 2025 at the age of 78. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on January 20, 1947 to Lillie Mae (Hoda) and J.W. Cuevas.
May 25, 1963 she married the love of her life, Harlie Lee. Together they built a strong relationship dedicated to family while putting God first and instilling their faith in their children.
Karleen was a homemaker for many years taking care of her husband and children. She was always willing to help with nieces and nephews opening her home to them, often welcoming them with homemade cookies or cakes. After her children were older, she worked in a variety of places making many friends along the way, until her parents needed her care. She was always more than willing to take care of those in need.
Karleen was preceded in death by her dad, J.W. Cuevas; her mother, Lillie Mae Lind and stepdad, Cornelius Lind; her son, Kenneth Lee; and her siblings J. W. Cuevas Jr., Patsy Verdin, and Essie Stewart.
Left here to cherish her memory are her husband, Harlie; her children, Harlie “Everett” Lee Jr. (Angie) and Debbie Hester (Mack); her grandchildren, Zachary Lee (Heather), Whitney Knoblock (Stephen), Clayton Lee (Meagan), Heather Adam (Taylor), and Holly Hester (Colton); her great-grandchildren, Zachary Jr., Brody, Lauren, Cooper, Addison, Noah, Jonah, Gabe, and Kennedy; and a host of nieces and nephews she loved very much.
Karleen will be remembered for her love, kindness, willingness to help, dedication to her husband and family, and her faith in God. She often spoke of loving and being ready to meet her “sweet Jesus.”
