Gayle Salez Jacomet

Gayle Salez Jacomet, a beloved figure born on July 15, 1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, in Carriere, Mississippi. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will forever resonate with her family and friends.

Gayle was a devoted mother to her sons, Brian Rodriguez (Monique) and Marc Rodriguez (Susan), and beloved sister to her brother Randy Salez. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, including Derek Rodriguez, Kimberly Broussard, Marc Thadd Rodriguez, Kurt Rodriguez, Lynn Wilkes, Justin Wilkes, Darren DeStevens, and Jillian DeStevens Porter. Additionally, she was blessed with a host of great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

In her life, Gayle also maintained close ties with her aunt, Lorraine Palmisano,who will miss her profoundly. Gayle’s family has been an integral part of her life, and she shared a special bond with each of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle Salez and Daisy Salez, along with her brother, Lyle Salez Jr., and sister, Kathy Worsham. 

The loss of her grandchild, Brian "B" Rodriguez Jr., was a profound sorrow that marked her life. Her family remembers her as a guiding light through their journey together, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Gayle's life and legacy at Picayune Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 815 S. Haugh Ave., Picayune, MS. There will be a visitation held on Monday June 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Gayle Salez Jacomet’s absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will continue to inspire those she loved.
