George Keith Prestridge Jr.

George Keith Prestridge Jr. was born on October 28, 1946, in Poplarville, Mississippi. He passed away on September 16, 2025, in Picayune, Mississippi. Throughout his life, George dedicated himself to serving his community as a postmaster and a licensed practical nurse at a nursing home.

George had a passion for gardening, reading, and woodworking, activities that brought him joy and fulfillment. He loved spending time with his family and was a devoted husband and father.

George is survived by his wife, Sheri Prestridge, with whom he shared 28 wonderful years. He leaves behind three sons, George Keith Prestridge III (Meg), Jared Fayard (Lesette), and Joshua Fayard (Kandi); as well as a daughter, Cicily Prestridge (Don). His memory will continue through his sister, Mary Slack, and his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa Strain, Alexis Strain, Kaitlyn Prestridge (Hannah), Meagan Prestridge, Geoffrey Prestridge, Jaylen Fayard, Jared Logan Fayard McDaniel, and Jordon Blanco (Xochi).

He was preceded in death by his father, George Keith Prestridge Sr., and his mother, Hilda Stewart Prestridge. George Keith Prestridge Jr. will be remembered for his dedication to his family and community, and for the many lives he touched throughout his journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be announced.
