Gerry Maria Lee Cruthird

Gerry Lee Cruthird, born May 24, 1961, passed away in Picayune, Mississippi, on November 28, 2025, and went to be with her Lord and Savior. Gerry lived her life with a steadfast faith, a joyful spirit, and a positivity that touched everyone blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Clarence Lee. She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Cruthird; her stepdaughter, Caitlin Cruthird, and her beloved granddog, Nash; and her six siblings: Steve (Dolly) Lee, Phyllis Spiers, Keith Lee, Lane Lee, Kelly (Scott) Compton, and Tangela (Steve) Jackson. Gerry also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews—each of whom she adored and treated as her own. Gerry’s life was also richly blessed by lifelong friends who became family, surrounding her with love, support, and laughter through every chapter of her journey. A self-employed artist, Gerry found great joy in expressing herself through watercolor painting and handmade jewelry. Her creativity was matched only by her love of family, friends, and simple moments together. Gerry enjoyed a good lemon drop martini, shared laughter, and cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels on trips and game days. Gerry’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith will forever be cherished by those who loved her. Her light lives on in the many lives she touched.

Services will be held at St. Matthew the Apostle in Perkinston, Mississippi on Friday, December 5, 2025. Family-only visitation will be from 9:00–10:00 a.m., friends’ visitation from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., Mass at 12:00 p.m., with burial to follow at St. Matthew’s cemetery.
