Gottfried Francis Uhlich, Jr. of Slidell, Louisiana passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the age of 72, surrounded by family.
Gottfried was born August 2, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a Commercial Fisherman and adored his family. He will be deeply missed by all.
He is preceded by his parents, Gottfried Uhlich, Sr. and Helen Putfork Uhlich; brother, Robert “Robbie” Uhlich.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Melissa Uhlich; daughters, Jill Smith, Rose Taverna (Ryan), Genie Manton, and Lissa Lyncker; sons, William F. McRaney (Clarajane), Jacob Lyncker (Stephanie), William Lyncker, III (Lally); brother, William Uhlich “Billy” (Charlene); sisters, Carol Darby, Mary Craddock, and Helen Burke (Randy); grandchildren, Jacob Jefcoat, Makayla Jefcoat, Ashton Taverna, Brennan Taverna, Mackenzie McRaney, Mizuki McRaney, Hedkida Konda, Kiley Manton, Emma Manton, Ava Manton, Richard Maness, Gabrielle Maness, Audrey Lyncker, David Lyncker, William Lyncker, Kinsey Lyncker, Tessa Lyncker, Adelynn Lyncker, Lylah Lyncker, Luke Lyncker; great-grandchild, Xalia Jefcoat.
Graveside Service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
