Obituary

Grace was born on May 2, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Louis Roberts Sr. and Myrtle Arnold Roberts. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was rooted in her love for Jesus Christ.

Above all else, Grace loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was precious to her, and her heart belonged to Him. While her family and friends will deeply miss her presence here on earth, there is comfort in knowing that her earthly journey was not the end of her story. Through her faith in Jesus, she held the promise of eternal life, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more tears—only everlasting joy in the presence of her Savior.

Grace was the beloved wife of David Pigrenet Sr. and the proud mother of Dawn Pigrenet Richardson, David Pigrenet Jr., Keith Pigrenet, and Jamie Pigrenet. Her family was an important part of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the generations who loved her.

She was a cherished grandmother to Victoria, Devin, Angel, Brittany, Austin, Ryan, Jamie, Damien, Jamie, Alley, Elisha, and Elizabeth, and a treasured great-grandmother to Aurora, Salem, Sunny, Kasey, Archy, Andy, and Ulani. Each of them holds a special place in the family she loved so dearly.

Grace was also loved by her many friends and family members whose lives were touched by knowing her. Though words can never fully express the depth of loss felt by those who love her, the memories they shared and the love she gave will remain in their hearts. Her life is a reminder that the most meaningful legacy we leave behind is not measured in possessions or accomplishments, but in the love we share, the lives we touch, and the faith we carry.

Today, we grieve her absence, but we do not grieve without hope. The promise of God’s Word brings comfort to hearts that are hurting:

“To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV)

For those who believe in Jesus, death is not the final goodbye. It is the doorway to eternity with Him. The same Savior Grace loved throughout her life is the One who promises everlasting life to all who put their trust in Him.

Though her family must now continue this earthly journey without her, they can hold tightly to the hope of heaven and the promise of a glorious reunion in God’s perfect time. Until that day, they can honor her memory by loving one another, cherishing their family, holding fast to their faith, and keeping their eyes fixed on Jesus.

Grace’s earthly chapter has come to a close, but her story does not end here. Her love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, her memory will be treasured through the generations, and her faith points to the eternal hope found in Jesus Christ.

May those who mourn find peace in God’s presence, strength in His promises, and comfort in knowing that His love never fails.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 (KJV)

Until we meet again in the presence of our Lord, may you rest in His eternal peace, Grace. You are loved, you are cherished, and you will never be forgotten.
