James "Jim" Wesley Williams, a cherished husband, father, and dedicated member of his community, passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 67 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Born on March 6, 1958, in Troy, Ohio, Jim’s journey through life was marked by a profound commitment to his family and an unwavering dedication to his work and passions.
For an impressive 40 years, Jim served as an engineer at Stennis Space Center, where his contributions were invaluable. His technical expertise and innovative spirit left a lasting impact on those around him, reflecting not only his professional excellence but also his desire to drive progress.
Jim was a deeply devoted member of First Baptist Church in Picayune, where he shared his faith as a Deacon, participated in the choir, and fostered a sense of community among congregants. Outside of his spiritual pursuits, he was known for his artistic flair, particularly in woodworking, where he devoted much of his time to building homes for his children.
An avid baseball coach, Jim cherished the opportunity to guide young athletes, especially his own children, instilling in them the values of teamwork and perseverance. He also found joy in playing golf, frequently sharing the sport with family and friends, reflecting his love for the outdoors and connection with nature.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Royce Williams, along with their sons, James Branden Williams (Amanda) and Garrett Wesley Williams (Samantha), and their daughter, Whitney Stevens (Heath). He treasured his siblings: brothers Paul G. Williams and Thomas Williams, and sister Barbara Landes Williams. His legacy will also live on through his grandchildren, Zachary Millien, Madison Taylor Williams, Sawyer Grey Stevens, Wesley Robert Williams, Sofia Melissa Williams, and Sunny James Stevens, along with many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
Preceding him in death are his father John Wesley Williams, mother Mary Lou Williams, brothers John Williams and Mark A. Williams, and sister Amanda Cooper, all of whom will be remembered fondly.
