James Hoyt Smith, age 89, of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Monday, May 29, 2017.
A memorial service will be held by the family at Carriere First Baptist Church on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.
Mr. Smith formally of Avondale, Louisiana was a resident of Carriere since 1969. He was an iron worker, and member of Carriere First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Radine E. Smith of Carriere; two sons, James "Ricky" Smith and his wife Debra of Springville, Alabama, and Jon Kelly Smith and his wife Jerri Lynn of Hillsdale; two daughters, Deborah Lynn Easterling of Picayune, and Tracy Marie Heflin and her husband Rex of Childersburg, Alabama; six brothers; three sisters; grandchildren, Jamie, Shalee, Kelvin, Michael, Alicia, Jon Collis, Austin, and Shay; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Myrtle Smith; and one son, Michael Anthony Smith.
