Jennifer Raye Fountain, a beloved and remarkable woman, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, in Picayune, Mississippi, surrounded by loved ones. Born on September 15, 1947, in Meridian, Mississippi, Jennifer lived a life marked by warmth, dedication, and a genuine love for those around her.

Jennifer was known to many as a wonderful person whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of family and friends alike. Her career was filled with memorable experiences, with her favorite places of employment being Fisherman’s Wharf and Buena Vista. These roles allowed her the unique opportunity to meet presidents and movie stars, moments she cherished deeply.

An active member of Resurrection Life Church, Jennifer found strength and community in her faith. She enjoyed socializing at the Senior Center, delighting in the camaraderie and friendships that blossomed there. A lover of action and western movies, she also earned the affectionate title of Queen of Word Search Puzzles, showcasing her sharp mind and love of challenges.

Family was the cornerstone of Jennifer’s life, and she took immense pride in her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest accomplishments and constant sources of joy. She is survived by her loving children: April Rouse (Terry "T.J." Rouse), Jennifer E. Fountain, Tammie Fountain Tillman (Frankie), Patricia Fountain Allen, and Wallace “Wally” Joseph Fountain Jr. Her siblings, who remain close in her memory, include Janice Smith, Elizabeth Craven, Richard Craven (sister-in-law, Carol), Libba Saul, Billy Ray Craven, and James Royce Craven.

Jennifer’s legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—Amber Lee, Rayn Lee, Jasmine Williams, Jourdin Williams, and Justice Fountain—and great-grandchildren Aleigha Williams, Amzlee Williams, Clarence Charles Montgomery III, and Alaina Merritt. Each held a special place in her heart.

Preceding her in death are her parents, William Ray Craven and Amy Shirah Terry; her husbands, Alton “Bo” Delaney, Wallace Joseph Fountain Sr., and Olen D. Bounds; her daughter, Alesha Tamaron Delaney; and her siblings, Randy Craven (Grace) and Linda Cuevas (Archie).

Jennifer Raye Fountain’s life was a testament to kindness, devotion, and the significance of family. Her spirit will forever remain with those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday March 27, 2026, at Carriere First Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the directions of Picayune Funeral Home.
