Johanna Marie Durapau

Johanna Marie DuRapau of Picayune, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 9, 2021, at the age of 77.
Johanna was a longtime resident of Picayune and a member of Touching Hands Ministry. She was a joyful woman with many talents. One of her gifts was being a seamstress and designer for Mardi Gras Balls and the krews costumes for several years. Johanna was a selfless woman with a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her daughters: Kristie Fairchild, Sharri Jackson, and Wendy Bordelon; brother, Robert DuRapau; sister, Merl Ansardi; and fifteen grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clendon and Odile Durapau; one son, Rene Cortes III., and one granddaughter, Alicia Fairchild; and great-grandchildren, Kylah Lynn Reilly and Kendenn Anthony Jackson.
No services will be held at this time. For anyone who knew Johanna, take a moment to rejoice the memories and love she leaves behind.
