Joseph Albert Ponson, age 93, of Carriere passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at his residence.
Visitation will be held at Picayune Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Bob Hustes officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Mr. Ponson, born in Thibodaux, LA, was a resident of Carriere for thirty three years. He was a Mason for fifty plus years, a lineman for Cleco, and a Baptist.
He is survived by three sons; Joseph (Barbara) Ponson, Jr. of Slidell, LA, Harry (Sharon) Morgan of Slidell, LA, and Darryl (Bettie Jo) Morgan of McNeil, MS; three daughters Mary (John) Scott of Cantonment, FL, Lisa Gilliam of Slidell, LA, Jennifer (Todd) Ponson Pennington of Carriere, MS.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Amelia Ponson; his wife Margie O'dell Ponson.
