Judy Willis

Judy Willis, lovingly known as a nurturing spirit to all who had the pleasure of knowing her, passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on March 17, 1950, she was a beacon of warmth and light in the lives of her family and friends.

Judy was a devoted wife to her husband, Ronald Willis, and a proud mother to her children: Dewayne Varnado, Melisa Boykins, and Tanya Bergeron. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Tasmine, Haley, Megan, Hillary, Chase, Chance, Brett, Meridith, Marcus, and Mason, each of whom held a special place in her heart. In addition to her grandchildren, Judy cherished her great-grandchildren, Caleb and Scarlet, showering them with affection and wisdom.

Family was everything to Judy. She was the loving sister to Patrick Nichelson, Billy Nichelson, Larry Nichelson, Regina Griffin, Patricia Smith, Coleen Pierce and Brittney Nichelson. Her bond with her siblings was strong, and together they shared many beautiful memories that will be cherished forever.

Judy's nurturing nature shone through in all aspects of her life, whether she was cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, tending to her flower garden, or creating beautiful suncatchers and glass art that brightened any room. Her creative spirit brought joy and inspiration to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vada Langley Rimes, and her father, Pat Nichelson. Although they are no longer physically with us, their loving memories will continue to live on through Judy's family and the many lives she touched.

As we remember Judy, we celebrate a life filled with love, creativity, and the simple joys that she brought to every day. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and warmth will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday September 29, 2025, at Picayune Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
