Kitty Dupre Ducote was born on September 8, 1955, in Houma, Louisiana and she passed away on April 27, 2026.
Kitty loved family gatherings at her home, seafood, and playing Left, Right, Center. Everyone she met was family, and everyone was welcomed as a part of her family. She was always prepared to feed everyone and gave so willingly of herself.
She was the beloved wife of Dale Ducote for 26 years, who preceded her in death. Kitty was also the daughter of Royal J. Dupre and Leona R. Dupre, and sister to Royal Dupre Jr., all of whom have passed on. She is also preceded in death by her cherished canine companion, Little Bit.
Kitty is survived by her daughters Kathy Smith, married to Jason, and Karen Wilson, married to Mike. She is also survived by Ben Rector and Kristin Rector, who were her children in her own heart. She had a close bond with her sister Phyllis Harvey, and brother Jay Bertucci. Kitty was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts, as well as her beloved cat Pixie who filled her home with joy.
Throughout her life, Kitty cherished her family and the time spent together. She will be remembered for her gentle nature and her love of gardening, which brought her comfort and happiness.
Kitty’s family and friends will miss her dearly, remembering her warm spirit and quiet strength. Her legacy lives on through those she loved so much.
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 2, 2026 for 9AM followed by a Catholic Funeral Service fort 11AM at Picayune Funeral Home located at 815 S. Haugh Ave. Picayune, MS 39466 on Saturday May 2, 2026.
Internment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 2618 Highway 43 S. Picayune, MS 39466.
