Larry Newton Kennedy

Larry "Poppa" Newton Kennedy (88) of Carriere, Mississippi went home to be with god on December 15th 2023.

Larry was a proud USN Veteran, worked at ADT for 32 years as an electrician, and loved what he did. He was also a deacon for over 40 years. He was known to be a Bible Scholar and would go toe to toe with anyone over scripture.

Larry enjoyed working on his tractor, he was an avid coffee drinker, and was known for his willingness to help anyone in need.
He was also a very proud grandfather, and never missed a sporting event for his grandsons.
Known as "Poppa" to many, several beloved family members and loved ones took part caring for Larry the last few years.

Left to cherish his memories are his grandsons Blake and Kyle Kennedy, and sister Ora Sue Wallace.

Larry is preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Sue Daughdrill Kennedy, parents Carl and Elsie Kennedy, and brother in law Crawford Wallace.

A christian graveside service will be held in Larry's honor at Henleyfield Cemetery on Tuesday December 19th at 11AM.
