Leola Whitfield Spiers "Oat", age 96, of Walker, Louisiana passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Jackson and Bro. Jerry Arnold officiating. Burial will be at Union Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
She is survived by sons, Dale Spiers (Debbie), and Johnny Spiers (Becky); daughters, Sandra Graves (Robert L.), and Jennie Lovett (Terry); brothers, Shane Whitfield, David Whitfield, and Donovan Whitfield; sister, Lavon Thomas; grandchildren, Amy Graves, Kristin Williams, Jeremy Spiers, Rebecca Diamond, Joshua Spiers, Julie Roberts, John Spiers, Jonathan Spiers; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Louvenia Whitfield; husband, Thomas D. Spiers; brothers, Leroy Whitfield, Lamont Dalton Whitfield, Tommie Joseph Whitfield, and Robert Whitfield; sisters, Lena Mae Mitchell, Norma Joyce Tulk, and Evelyn Marie Whitfield.
