Lorraine Trahan David, born on February 6, 1944, in Roberts Cove, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026. Lorraine’s journey through life was marked by deep devotion to family, steadfast resilience, and an enduring spirit that touched all who knew her.

The daughter of Zanni Joseph Trahan and Rita Tallie Kibodeaux Trahan, both of whom preceded her in death. Lorraine was the beloved wife of Harold Lucien David Jr., whose memory she cherished following his passing.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Germaine Bourque, who carries forward her legacy of compassion and strength. Lorraine also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Mary Trahan, and three nieces and nephews: Michael Jay Trahan, Stephanie Trahan Dartes, and Paula Trahan Conners. The enduring bonds with each of them brought warmth and happiness to Lorraine’s days, and they remain grateful for the time, affection, and wisdom she generously shared.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her siblings, Hillyan Trahan, Joseph Trahan, and Betty Jean Lantier, as well as her niece, Billie Jo Courville. The closeness she maintained with all members of her family was a testament to her loving and gentle nature.

Throughout her life, Lorraine was known for her kindness, and thoughtfulness. She was such a sweet person with a wonderful soul. She enjoyed nature. Sitting watching birds across a serine pond was her happy place. Lorraine also enjoyed western shows and Disney Movies. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lorraine Trahan David’s memory lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her unwavering love and generosity serve as a guiding light for those she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, forever remembered for her gentle spirit and lasting legacy.
