Louisdavid N. Dutreil Sr., of Carriere, Mississippi went into eternal rest on October 11, 2026. Louis was born on June 14, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents Louisfrancis Dutreil Sr., and Clara Christian Dutreil.

David spent many years as a tugboat captain and proudly served as a member in the Knights of Columbus in the Metairie chapter, Our Lady of Divine Providence. He was married for 37 years to the love of his life Patsy Dutreil and together they had a beautiful family he was so proud of.

David will be remembered by his loving wife Patsy Dutreil, children Elise Marie St. Pierre (Josiah), Jeffrey Dutreil, Louis N. Dutreil Jr., Nicholas J. Dutreil, siblings Claire Breaten, Frank Dutreil (Roxanne),Michael Dutreil (Connie), Christina Davidson (Jy), Ann Frost, grandchildren Josiah St. Pierre Jr., Elijah St. Pierre, Victoria Knipmeyer, and William Knipmeyer.

He is preceded in death by his parents Louisfrancis Dutreil Sr., Clara Christian Dutreil, son Louisjoseph Florian Dutreil, sister Mary Genco (Charles), mother-in-law Jacqueline S. Ciuffi, and father-in-law Adam Joseph Ciuffi.

A memorial will be held at a date and location to be announced.
