Visitation for Madeline Rodrigue Montagne, 83, of Carriere will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11 AM at Picayune Funeral Home, located at 815 S. Haugh Ave., Picayune, MS 39466. A Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, officiated by Deacon Brian Klause. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
Madeline was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated from West Jefferson High School in Marrero, Louisiana in 1960. She and her family moved to Carriere, Mississippi in 1977 from Marrero. Madeline was a dedicated wife and mother and devoted many years of her life at Stennis Space Center in administrative work with Mason Chamberlain, Sverdrup, and Jacob Technologies. She loved working on craft projects, especially counted cross stitch, sewing, crocheting, and painting. Madeline will be best remembered by her amazing culinary skills and mostly how she loved her family with unconditional love.
Madeline is preceded in death by her son, Frank Zar, IV, and her parents Leland and Claudia Rodrigue.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Warren Montagne, her children Robert Zar (Sandra), and Allyson Tolar (Mike), brother, Melvin Rodrigue, and sister, Shirley Bergeron. Grandchildren, Amanda St. Germain, Timothy Tolar, Olivia Zar, Caitlin League, Logan Zar, and great grandchildren, Archer St. Germain, Andrew St. Germain, Ember League, and Ashe League.
