Mandy Owens

Mandy Owens, a beloved mother, grandmother, and treasured friend, passed away on August 16, 2025, in McComb, Mississippi, at the age of 87. She was born on November 21, 1937, in Picayune, Mississippi, where she spent her early years.

Mandy is survived by her daughters Laura Quave (Wesley) and Peggy Mohan (Jeff), and her sons Thomas Jackson (Martha), Perry Jackson (Terri), Kenneth Jackson (Pennie), Timothy Jackson, and two daughters-in-law Mary Jackson, and Paula Jackson. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.

Mandy was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Jarrell, and her mother, Mary Jarrell. She was also preceded by her loving husband, James Alvis Owens, and the father of her children, James Frank Jackson Sr. Mandy's family grieves the loss of her daughter Sheila Diane Jackson, as well as her sons James Frank Jackson Jr. and Joseph Wayne Jackson. She was also preceded by her siblings, Ed Jarrell, Tom Jarrell, Jess Jarrell, Birdie Jarrell, Jenie Pasman, Raymond Jarrell, and Mitt Ordone.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on August 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Picayune Funeral Home, located at 815 S. Haugh Ave., Picayune, MS 39466. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location, beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding by 2:00 PM Officiated by Rev. Raymond Frierson, and Brother Taylor Strain.

Mandy Owens will be remembered for her warmth, love, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
