Marshall "Scott" "Blackboy" Black, a devoted husband and craftsman, passed away on June 24, 2025, in Picayune, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 16, 1960, in Meridian Mississippi, Scott was a person of hard work and genuine character, leaving behind a legacy marked by his artistry and dedication to his family.

Scott had a passion for making knives and working with steel, turning each piece into a unique work of art that reflected his skill and creativity. His friends and family often marveled at his craftsmanship, which he approached both seriously and with joy. He also spent the majority of his years as a member of the International Brotherhood Boilermakers, Local #455. Beyond his artistry, Scott found great pleasure in riding motorcycles and cherished the simple joy of day trips spent beach sitting with his beloved wife, Lila "Pearl" Black.

He is survived by his wife, Pear Black; sons Eli Mills (Cami) and Zac Mills (Heather); sisters Shan Phillips (Steve) and Kara Warner (Alan); and grandchildren Logan Mills, Lucas Mills, Eliza Mills, and Zoe Mills. He was a sweet poppy and loved them grandbabies. He also leaves behind nieces Krystal, Ashley, and Kassie, and nephew Trey; numerous friends and family, all of whom remember him fondly.

Scott was predeceased by his father, Marshall Victor Black; mother, Janet Lane Davis; stepmother, Bee Black; and brother, Kelly Black.

His proudest accomplishment was the love he shared with his wife and the family they built together. Scott's genuine spirit and hard-working nature will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
