Mary Mae Day, age 83, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at New Palestine Cemetery with Bro. Kerr Howell officiating.
Mrs. Mary was a resident of Pearl River County for fifty-four years, a homemaker and a Methodist. Her love of life was flowers, especially orchids.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane Mars of Picayune and Brenda Lumpkin of Carriere; two brothers, James Rutherford and Freddie Eugene Rutherford; five sisters, Dorothy Ann Rutherford, Priscilla Haney, Myrtis Burrough, Winnie Bell Chambless and Claire Gilbert; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Edward Day and one daughter, Janice McCraney.
