Mary Lou Broom Rush of Picayune, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the age of 79.
Mary was a longtime resident of Picayune and a member of George Ford Landmark Missionary Church of Carriere.
She is survived by her sons, Billy John Rush, Sr. (Andera) and James Winston Rush (Brenda); daughter, Tammy A. George (Michael); brothers, Willie James Broom (Willie Mea) and Lennis Broom (Dianne); eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Rush; parents, J. Guy Broom and Nettie Mae Broom; brothers, Morgan, E L, Millard, and Dimp Broom; sister, Joann Mitchell.
A memorial service will be held 11: 00 a.m. at George Ford Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Friday November 12, 2021.
