Melvin Raymond Berthold of Pearl River County Mississippi passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the age of 89.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. -10:45 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2019 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. A Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
Melvin was a retired Supervisor for New Orleans Public Service and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons: Craig Berthold and his wife Cynthia of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Robert Berthold and his wife Sherri of Slidell, Louisiana; two daughters: Angele Reid and her husband, Patrick of Beaumont, Texas and Anne Marie Parker and her husband, Victor of Carriere, Mississippi; four grandchildren: Kristin and her husband Perry, Sean Patrick, Hunter and Samantha; three great-grandchildren: Parker, Walker and Weston.
Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lottie Berthold; his loving wife of 67 years, Joan Botti Berthold, and his daughter, Manette Cole.
