Michael Joseph Cooney of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the age of 65.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018, 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Johnson officiating.
He was a native of Metairie, Louisiana and was of the Catholic faith. He worked as a freelance photographer and was an avid pool player and the Captain of his pool league.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Spiers Cooney of Carriere, Mississippi; son, Michael Brandon Mitchell (Amanda) of Carriere, Mississippi; daughters, Tori Marie Simmons (Kendall) and Samantha Stanley (Josh) of Carriere, Mississippi; grandchildren, Declan, Cameron, Destiny, Elizabeth, James, Kensi, Hunter, Alexis, and Michael Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cooney and Myrtle Cooney and sister, Gwen Brinac.
