Michael Stephen Pell, 71, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away on July 16, 2026. 

Mike was born on December 22, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents George A. Pell, and Martine E. Pell. He became a Merchant Marine at 16 and spent the next 29 years dedicating himself to traveling the seas. Mike had 6 brothers and 4 sisters and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed hobbies such as dancing, throwing knives, and was known to be an excellent pool player in his younger years.

Mike's memory will be cherished by his brother Kenneth Pell, sisters Joyce Davis, Patsy Stonesifer, Connie Minton Harris, and Tina Marie McGilvary.

He is preceded in death by his father George A. Pell, mother Martine E. Pell, brothers George Robert "Bobby" Pell, William "Alvin" Pell, Tommy "Joe" Pell, Chris Edward Minton, and Thomas Edward Minton.

An evening visitation will be held for Mike on Monday July 20, 2026 from 6PM-9PM and a funeral to follow on Tuesday July 21, 2026 for 9AM at Picayune Funeral Home located at 815 S. Haugh Ave. Picayune, MS 39466. 

Burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
