Ora Sue Kennedy Wallace was born March 14, 1943, and passed away July 20, 2026. Sue was born in Biloxi, MS but spent her childhood in Henleyfield, MS, a place where she had fond memories. She had one brother, Larry Kennedy, with whom she was very close and cherished their relationship. Sue married Crawford Wallace who preceded her in death in June of 2019. They were married for 59 years at the time of his passing. Sue and Crawford spent most of their married life in McNeill, MS where they raised their three children. Although Sue worked in banking, her passion and lively hood was her music. She was well known for her beautiful piano playing of southern gospel music. Over the years she was the pianist/organist for several churches in Pearl River County. She and her mother shared their talent and music by teaching singing schools in many churches in south Mississippi and Louisiana. Sue taught piano lessons for many years and has taught countless children and adults to play. Her music was the greatest gift to all who knew her.

Sue is proceeded in death by her husband, Crawford, her parents Elsie and Carl T. Kennedy and two siblings, Larry Kennedy and baby boy Kennedy. Left to cherish her memory are her three children Reed (Doreene), Rene’, and Mark (Cynthia) along with 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Henleyfield. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with services at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be held immediately after.
